Today started off with a loud Cantonese Happy Birthday song just right after I opened my eyes ... gazing at that photo I took with Anna on my phone, I received an MMS ... with is pretty new to me, not alot of people will MMS me although they sms me alot ...

Matt's birthday is today too ... seems I found one more person who was born the same day as me !!
Team A started their first day in Atlas today, as well as Lindsay ... However, it might not be a good start because the Geo underestimated the presence of Moolayember and Clematis for FV 412 OB_1. However, I think they sorted it out finally around evening ...

Went Sushi on Felix Street again, yesterday I tried Spider (soft shell crab) with cream cheese shushi and the California Roll which is abit different. Today, I tried the sweet chilli prawn, with mango and cream cheese shushi and Cripsy Chicken with avocado. There are really great sushi over here in Brisbane. Different combination of ingredient and the sushi rice are of good quality ... It sticks well together but it just don't stick onto your throat creating uneasiness after you eat them! Will try the one in Adelaide street soon ...

Today there has been some gossip between the girls in the office. Shalene was not too comfortable hearing that I had a cup on my hard hat when I went out to Atlas. Julie was the one who started that topic. Then, from no where ... some private issues became their topic ... Shalene suddenly turned to me and ask me am I finding someone to get married to!!! That question was so sudden ... except sudden I just could not find a better description for it ... While I was thinking of my answer, Tim said :"I think she found herself a few options in the Atlas rig". The way he said it was quite funny, but I was just blushing there. I just don't fucking understand sometimes why when I talk to people, my face and ears will turn red and I will feel blood gushing up to my face. These effects became more significant when I am here and especially after I drink coffee. I just hate it!!! Sometimes, when I need to present something about what I am doing, when I started the first word ... the face turn red and warm. I guess sometimes Simon saw it and tried to supress his laughter! But, I could see a sinister smile on his face!Anyway, I still need to keep talking with that red bloody face ...

The day endedwith a surprise ... something I never expected ... "2705 A parcel @ reception". I think I know who send me the parcel, but I never expect to carry it all the way up to 27 floor. The reception who pass me that bouque kept "wow-ing".

Today, I got some thoughts as usual ...
When I evaluate my liking towards male ... I discovered something ... That discovery is not new but its some extension to my previous preferences. I feel I am more attracted to male who are at their mid thirties and I think the age level has increased from late twenties. Attracted not as in wanting them as my boy friend or anyhting in that category ... But, I do prefer older guys because of their thoughts and maturity. Roughuishly handsome is the word, where you could see the wisdom behind the face with abit of wrinkles at the side of the eyes ... I just find it to be attractive to me ...

Anyway, I thank all my friends for wishing me Happy Birthday ...

I miss Atlas 1 ...

I have been missing the life in Atlas 1 since I left her 2 weeks ago ...

Things have been changing ...
When I was there, she was drilling FV 206 OB_1
Within 2 weeks she completed 3 wells and now she is in FV 412 OB_1, about to move to FV 412 OB_2. People wise, Team A left on holidays for 2 weeks and is about to commence this coming Wednesday for 2 weeks. After I left, Mike Cane left as well... Bruce started his shift again until the same day I leave Brisbane which is 11 Feb. Julie and Tony are going to Atlas 1 in the coming week. People from Caza were different too. Jason was still there, Eddy and Scottie left while Mark and Sam came. Things are really changing so fast on a 2 weeks basis.

Whatever emotions, memories, firendship are changing on a 2 weeks basis as well ...
2 days ago, I texted Phil ... he said I am team A material but fuckin' left them ...
But, what to do ... as much as I don't want to leave CSG Drilling and Completions, I am leaving them behind in less than 2 weeks time as well ...

In office, things were changing on a 2 weeks basis too ...
New engineer Dina came, they went to Gunnadah for MCD-33 rig start up ... new rig came and old rig released ... There is another fresh graduate entering after I left in 2 weeks time as well ... And Time came back from his 3 weeks holidays, I still remember when he was out there installing piezos in Atlas 1 ... Matt asked me to ask him about pipe stretcher, its so embarrassing!!!

For EWG 102, I think Chris is still there ... But, Damo is for sure resigning ...
Not much memories in EWG 102 ... If Chris and Damo was not there, I would have already been bored to death

Today when I had my lunch ... some thoughts flash through... remembering Simon my project leader telling me he is bringing me to Atlas 1 for 1 week at the first day I started in Santos. That time they were installing their first ever piezometer onto one of their observation wells. I could not tag along because I have to go to IPTC. That time, I don't really know what are piezos but I felt abit upset because I always wanted to go out to the field and see things rolling. Apart from that I was also afraid that I might not have chance to go out there again looking at the fact that I need to tag along with someone because I don't have a 4 wheel drive licence to drive from Roma to the rig. Today, I was grateful not being able to go with Simon on the first week because if I would have gone, I would not meet Team A and Team A would not have to chance to meet me. Maybe at that time the company man was not Lindsay and Bruce, it was Graham Cole (not good!) or someone else. A quote came out of my mind .... saying

" Don't be regret over something that does not happen the way you it want to be, because everything happens for a reason and its time that reveals them"

Chinese New Year

Not celebrating Chinese New Year for the first time makes me feel everyone needs to have a new year celebration in whatever new year they believe in be it Hari Raya, Christmas, 1st of Jan or anything ...

For all 22 years in my life, I used to think and believe that Chinese New Year is just a celebration ... it is just a routine every year for every Chinese people. When something becomes a routine, you will feel as if nothing when the day comes. Because it is so routine, you feel it is just like a normal day of big gatherings, big lunch and dinner and so on. However, spending my first day of CNY in the rig, second and the rest of the day in the boring office without anyone wishing you a single "Happy CNY"...

It makes me appreciate the fact that Chinese New Year is not a routine for me anymore at this point of time, I need to celebrate Chinese New Year with the people who celebrate it to remind myself everything has gone well, everyone is here and we are moving on into a brand new year full of spirit.

I think I will defiantly looking forward to 2010's Chinese New Year and will do anything to make sure I celebrate it with the people who I care and the people who care about me.

Recently read a book which was published on the year 2007 …

May 13 “Declassified Documents on the Malaysian Riots 1969” by Dr. Kua Kia Soong

Following the time spent to read this book, I recalled few items in my memory …. The most recent being …

History book in form 5 and also what my History teacher taught us
How politicians reacted when asked about the May 13 incident

Especially towards the way Birotatanegara brain washed us, the fire within me was ignited even more after reading this book.

Philip Bowring has a piece in the Asia Sentinel. He writes,

…it is hard to see how a multi-racial, multi-religious Malaysia can flourish if events such as May 13 can only be discussed in private, while the public is fed a distorted official version in order to sustain the legitimacy of UMNO politicians … Asia Sentinel

This is one excerpt from the book,

“At earlier press conferences Ghazali had stressed that the major reasons for the May 13 riots was the breakdown of the ‘gentlemen’s agreement’ made in 1957 whereby the Chinese were given citizenship and the Malay were granted a special position’. During the election campaign, he claimed, the Chinese-based opposition parties had challenged the ‘special position’ and by doing so infuriated the Malays who still regarded the Chinese as their guests. Apart from the 2/3 parliamentary majority which the Malay-dominated Alliance Party had enjoyed since 1957, there were the nine rulers to guarantee that Malay rights would never be touched. Therefore, to challenge these rights would never be touched. Therefore, to challenge these rights, or even to suggest that they were not eternal, was to make revolution.”

Undoubtedly, the official version of the cause of May 13 was a sentence quite beautifully stated. However, complete "Booo Sheets".

I remembered very well that in the Birotatanegara so called a “Kursus Kenegaraan” the instructor mentioned in his fiery speech – “Rocket won the election in Penang, and they were out for celebration … They are behaving too arrogant and start to burn the houses of the Malays in the Kampongs.” These statements are quite in accordance with the one in Wikipedia. Perhaps they just read and reproduce the same thing for purpose of brain washing. The first question, “is there any necessity for such issues to be brought up in the so called “Kursus Kenegaraan”?” Second question, if there is a necessity, “What is the purpose of bringing up this topic among teenagers who has been instilled the vague concept ever since in their time in secondary school?” Also, one thing I could not understand is why during the kenegaraan talk they do not let us bring our handphones??? Handphones have to be sealed in plastic and locked and kept the the pegawais other there. Why! Why! Why!

“Dikatakan kaum Cina yang menang telah berarak dengan mengikat penyapu kepada kenderaan mereka sebagai lambang kemenangan mereka menyapu bersih kerusi sambil melaungkan slogan. Ada pula pendapat yang mengatakan penyapu tersebut sebagai lambang mereka akan menyapu ('menyingkir') orang-orang Melayu ke laut. Dalam masyarakat Melayu, penyapu mempunyai konotasi yang negatif (sial). Ada yang mencaci dan meludah dari atas lori ke arah orang Melayu di tepi-tepi jalan.” -- Wikipedia –

... From whose point of view are these sentences stated?

... How would a person know what penyapu symbolized do not know how to use it?

Too many loop holes to be questioned ….

Following all those, here are some facts from the book which provoke thinking regarding that incident. Below excerpts are derived from the book.

Record of the Riots

... “There was a plan in place to assemble young Malay hoodlums from all over Selangor at the residence of the Selangor Menteri Besar’s residence.”

... “Once the rioting had started, the security forces did not keep order impartially but stood by while these hoodlums were allowed to burn and kill indiscriminately. Troops also fired indiscriminately into Chinese shop-houses and were preponderantly Chinese.”

... “Razak was in complete control from the start of the riots and with the emergency in place, has a free hand in planning the post-1969 political makeup with the backing of the armed forces.”

Chronology of Events

May 11^th and May 12^th

Ruling Alliance party lost Penang to Gerakan Party, Kelantan to PMIP (Pan-Malaysia Islamic Party), Perak and Selangor were at the brink of falling into Opposition hands. It is the first time since independence where ruling party lots its 2/3 majority. Supporters of DAP and Gerakan filled the capital’s streets on both nights with their flag-waving convoy of the vehicles. On the night of 11^th and 12^th May, the Opposition celebrated their victory. In particular, a large Gerakan procession welcomed the left-wing Gerakan leader V.David back from winning the federal seat in Penang.

“Foreign correspondents in KL who observed the election filed dispatched praising the Malaysia Democratic process and predicting 5 years of peace, prosperity and more efficient government.”

May 13^th : UMNO youth gather at MB’s residence

From dispatch by Bob Recee, correspondent for the FEER at the time, it is evident that there was a plan youths mobilized by UMNO elements to assemble at the residence of the Selangor Menteri Besar, Dato Harun Idris. It started off at Kampung Baru and Batu Road. The curfew that was imposed was not fairly applied on all communities and the army was alleged to have fired indiscriminately into Chinese shop houses.

“Late on Tuesday afternoon (May 13), young Malays from the whole of Selangor began to assemble outside the residence of the Selangor Menteri Besar, Dato Harun. A retaliatory march had been planned by the UMNO youth the end in a rally at Suleiman Court near Batu Road, but police permission was withheld. While people were still assembling for this parade, trouble broke out in the nearby Malay section of Kampong Baru, where 2 Chinese lorries were burnt. By 6.30 pm, a crowd was raging down Jalan Raja Muda towards Batu Road. Another group came out of Kampong Baru into Jalan Hale, another exit from the Malay section into the Chinese areas.”

“By 7.15pm I could see the mobs swarming like bees at the junction of Jalan Raja Muda and Batu Road. More vehicles were smashed and Chinese shop-houses set on fire. The Chinese and Indian shopkeepers of Batu Road formed themselves into a ‘district defense force’ armed with whatever they could find – parangs, poles, iron bars and bottles. I watched one old man pathetically grasp a shovel. Men, standing in the back of a truck traveling up and down the road, urged the people to unite. A 16-year-old boy tore strips from a piece of cloth to be used for identification. When the Malay invading force withdrew as quickly as it had arrived, the residents took their revenge. Shop-fronts and cars suspected of being Malay-owned were smashed or burnt. Several attempts were made to set fire to the nearby UMNO headquarters where 3 propagandas jeeps had allegedly knocked over 2 Chinese on a bicycle, was also attacked.”

“The police arrived at about 9 pm but did not remain in the area. Later, truck-loads of Federal Reserve units (riot squads) and the Royal Malay Regiment drove past. The Chinese in the street ran into their shop-houses as soon as the convoy came into sight, but were quickly out on the streets again when they had passed. By midnight, I found the street almost deserted but sounds of gunfire and the glows of the fires showed that trouble had flared up elsewhere. From my own observations, the curfew was not imposed on Tuesday night with equal rigidity in all areas. In the side streets of Jalan Hale, I could see bands of Malay youths armed with parangs and sharpened bamboo spears assembled in full view of troops posted at road junctions. Meanwhile, at Batu Road, a number of foreign correspondents saw members of the royal Malay Regiment firing into Chinese shop-houses for no apparent reason. The road itself was completely deserted, and no sniping or other violence by the residents had been observed by the journalists.”

“The violence, which the Tunku described as triggered off by the behaviour of opposition supporters after the announcement of the election results, had provided, he said, a situation which the communists “had always tried to create”. As if to demonstrate this, it was announced on Friday night that “93 hardcore terrorists” had been arrested in a building in Batu Road with home-made arms and were alleged to have confessed to the intention of attacking innocent people. It was also announced that another 60 “armed communists” were taken into custody over the weekend.”

Razak likewise tried to avert suspicious of UMNO’s role in the disturbances by pinning the blame on the communists:

“In response to some prodding by the Australian High Commission, Razak denied that it had ever been Umno’s intention to organize a large procession through the town on the evening of 13 May. They had simply assembled in front of the Selangor state Chief Minister’s house to demonstrate support and trouble had started when 2 bus loads of Chinese youths came by and provoked by them. Thereafter Communist elements had taken full advantage of the situation and it was they who were responsible for the continuing violence.”

May 14^th : Casualties were mainly Chinese

“… that of 77 corpses in the morgue of the General Hospital on 14 May, at least 60 were Chinese.”

... “Tunku said the riots were due to an attempt by disloyal elements to overthrown the Government by the force of arms. In his second speech, he said a great deal of money had been poured into the country by communists’ agents, adding that the communists had earlier tried to prevent the elections.”

Nevertheless, the observations of the possession by foreign journalists give a very different picture:

“While it was true that some Mao-slogans and flags were seen during this parade, the discipline of the 14000 strong crowds in their eight-mile march may have been due to genuine restraint rather than to communist’s organization.”

Blame on communists Disbelieved

The secret dispatch to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) puts paid to the claim that the communists were responsible for the riots. Only by the end of May after all killing are done, Dr. Ismail, Tunku and Ghazali Shafie had to admit their earlier attribution of the riots to the communists had been incorrect.

“The communist hare was started personally by the Tunku who, in highly emotional broadcast on 15 May, blamed the whole affair on “communist terrorists” and spoke of their plans “to take over and to overthrow the Alliance by threat and intimidation……… But on the same day, Tun Dr Ismail was admitting that he had been wrong to ascribe the riots to the communists, and during the New Zealand Defense Minister visit on 30 and 31 May, the Tunku admitted that the earlier accusation had been incorrect. Three days later, Tan Sir Ghazali followed suit and only admit in publicly in a unattrobutable briefing.”

19^th May: Razak completely in control

21^st May:

Official statistics of casualties:

“137 killed – 18 Malays

342 injured

109 vehicles burned

118 building destroyed

2912 persons arrested, most curfew breakers”

24^thMay : Government in denial

“Government statements on communists’ responsibility for the disturbances have become rather more rational, but this is negative rather than positive and there is no sign of the government being ready to admit publicly that the trouble was basically racial and the disturbances occasioned by the armed Malays.”

British Expatriates Complain of Racial Discrimination

“Letter from Mrs. April Thacker to Sir Malcolm Stoddart-Scott, MP, 24 May 1969.

I personally know a Chinese shopkeeper who had to open his doors at gunpoint to four had armed policemen (Malay) who came in and took they wanted and left without payment. We ourselves sheltered 15 Chinese peasants in our garage one night because bands of Malays were going round setting fire to Chinese property and slashing people with their parangs.”

... The record show incontrovertibly that the riots of May 1969 were carefully planned and organized and that they were an excuse for the new regime to declare an emergency to affect the regime change. The security forces did not act professional and impartially but allowed the thugs to go about their slaughter of ethnic Chinese. These documents also show that Razak, the then deputy prime minister was in full control from the start of the riots. With the state of emergency, he could implement the agenda of the ascendant Malay state capitalist class for political and economic dominance in the post-1969 Malaysia. In this plan, they received the full backing of the police and army. --- May 13 ---

Two myths associated with the publication of the book stated by Kua.

... “This is the first myth we should dismantle as documents showed some people were involved in making it (the May 13) happened with the connivance of the police and army.”

... “I am questioning this. The role of the state is very important at a particular historical conjuncture. Malays, Chinese and Indians don’t suddenly decide to fight in conflict, it doesn’t happen like that.”

What type of red wine to buy from Australia ?

Because of this question that someone asked me few months ago ... I decided to do some studies on red wine ... Also, include some pictures from the previous visit in the National Wine Center in Adelaide ...

Different varietal of grapes ... are displayed

Different taste and aroma of wine ...

I don't drink red wine often ... recently bought a 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon ... Obviously its not a very good choice if I want to buy something significant from Australia. However, I bought it because my mom used to drink Shiraz all the time ... Just for a change of taste for her.

That bottle of wine is still perfectly alright standing on a shelf at home ...

To begin with ... here are few types of red wine ...

1. Light-bodied - Fewer tannins present and less presence on the palate.
Beaujolais Nouveau

2. Medium-bodied - More tannins than the above Beaujolais Nouveau.
Merlot, Shiraz, Chianti.

3. Full-bodied red wines boast the highest tannin (and often alcohol) content.
Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc

Merlot (Mare-lo)

Main features of Merlot is its softness which make this varietal an introducing wine for beginners like me. Merlot is originally grown in Bordeaux, France and often used to soften the character of Cabernet Sauvignon in red blends, Merlot has taken center stage in the United States as a smooth, soft, drinkable red wine low in tannins. In Australia, Merlot is used as the better half to reduce a Cabernet Sauvignon's stern nature. There are some unblended versions, with the better ones found in Barossa Valley and the McLaren Vale, much like Shiraz.

Syrah/Shiraz (Shir-Az)

Shiraz excels in California, Australia (where it is known as Shiraz) and France's Rhone Valley.
The principal Australia wine regions congregate in the southeast part of the country—South Australia, New South Wales, and Victoria. For Shiraz, the top regions producing the seductive and full-blooded wine are in the Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale, and Coonawarra in South Australia and Hunter Valley in New South Wales. Among this group, the Barossa Valley and Coonawarra vie for top rank but with distinctive characters.

The Barossa Valley produces big fruit, herbaceous, and peppery Shiraz. Coonawarra's Shiraz wines are intense with spicy flavors. Wines from both regions have sturdy tannins.

Cabernet Sauvignon (Cah-bur-nay Saw-vee-nyonh)

Cabernet Sauvignon “King of Red Wine Grapes", originate from Bordeaux. Cabernet Sauvignon grapes tend to favor warmer climates. Cabernet Sauvignon are often an ideal wine for aging with 5-10 years being optimal for the maturation process to peak. They are ideal candidates for blending with other grapes, primarily Merlot. This blending softens the Cabernet, adding appealing fruit tones, without sacrificing its innate character. A young Cabernet Sauvignon may be fruit-forward and very bold, but still be very drinkable with potentially heightened tannins. A ten- or twenty-year old bottle will have the huge fruit notes tamed with time, showing more subtle flavors possibly of dried herbs and earth, muted berries, and integrated spice.

In general, light-bodied wines tend to “feel” more like water in the mouth. In contrast, “full-bodied” wines feel heavier, more like milk, this effect is due in large part to the higher tannin (alcohol) content.

In short ...

The conclusion is ...

For people like me, who wants to buy wine as souvenirs or beginners in wine ...
Obviously, we would just simply choose a wine from the bottleshop depending on how the packaging appear to be attractive to us ... that is quite normal ... or maybe choose something based on the alcohol content ...

Some recommendations ..

1. For people like parents who are not frequent drinker of red wine ... Maybe a Merlot which do ...
2. If you want to buy something where you can say ... Australia is famous for it ... Maybe a Shiraz is good enough ... For white wine, maybe a Australia Riesling ...

Parallels between life and a puzzle.

When beginning both life and a new puzzle, all the different pieces are all scrambled up in front of us with no real instructions, however we do know each step would lead us to a direction. Some people think the step they took would lead them to the direction they wanted, but a lot of times it doesn't. After we examine our current situation, we notice there are all different ways we can begin our journey. We may decide to start in one corner or another, depending on what we feel is best for us.

I have found it best to get your edges down first as a strong foundation to help us see what direction we're wanting to take. As we continue working, we notice that some parts come easy to us, and others can become a challenge. Just as in life, we all struggle in differing ways. Each obstable, or lesson that we learn in life is like getting the next piece in the right position.
Sometimes, things come along in life that seem like they belong and fit, but after some struggling and frustation, we finally submit to the fact that it just doesn't belong, at least not here and not now.

But, there is a huge difference between life and puzzle. Life puzzle is not fixed ... We struggle to build a different picture that we wanted ...In puzzle that we solved, we know where we are getting to based on the picture displayed on the puzzle box...Seldom it happens where the puzzle you solve is different from the one u bought.....But, in life puzzle...there are steps taken to solve the pictures that we wanted...and the picture will change with time...we would not know till we complete the life journey...

Or maybe there are still a lot of incompletion even after we finish our journey...but, that is a kind of beauty as well...

如果有一样东西。。。能带动人的情绪。。。

如果有一样东西。。。能让人不用言语，字句也能传达讯息。。。

一个作品。。。能影响数也数不仅的人。。。
他的价值是无价的。。。

能对音乐有一份坚持，有天分的人。。。
从音乐的角度。。。
比起我们只能享受音乐的人。。。。多了一份能对人类贡献的能力。。。

私は今日本語を勉強している。言語に興味があるので、日本語を勉強することを決定した。

日本語が上手になったら、日本にいくつもりだ。日本語の授業は一週間に５時間もうあるから、大変だ。

日本語の授業は難しいが、楽しい。

先週先輩とのセクションに行った。

あそこで二人のいい先輩、フェニさんとアシリさんに出会った。

二人ともやさしく話してくれたので、先輩と話すのが大好きだ。

The matter is not get or not ... to me is more about appreciation ... and your value ... of existing in a society ... or group or environment ...
The fact is I don't mind trying ... and I will keep trying ... but ... that is especially hurting those who really have the heart ....

I used to ponder about these when I am demotivated ....
Nowadays ... I am more and more confused and not be able to understand how some so called "Clever" people do things ...

They can ....
1. Seems like throwing money on you for no reason on Earth ...
2. Throw you somewhere that make you cannot contribute your strength and at the same time training you to deal with what you are not good at for 10 years maybe less and then .... throw you to another place where ... you still cant contribute your strength .... but dealing with some other things that you are not good at... AGAIN
3. Be slow until .... the snail finish travelling from North pole to South pole oso they still struggling just to sort out the problem ... haven't even start to solve it
4. Give stupid reason that sounds very clever on their perspective on something stupid ... and then use power to shut u up from commenting ... or pointing out that they are wrong ... They can also use their deaf immitating skills to push all your words of their ears .... that's scary in a sense ... although it sounds stupid...
5. They are so kind until .... they are willing to give chances to those who are lagging and slow and uniwlling to try hard (lazy) ... so that those can really have 0.0001% chance to be good and be clever ...
6. In order to help those who are lazy to have high achievement .... those who are hardworking and clever need to train self to smile always even there is " shit " in front of them ... smile is still essential ....
7. They can have more than 90 degree of deflection .... compared to a prism ... realli superb ...

Nowadays ...
frust oso no use ...
Getting frustrating is better ....
but now ... I am not even frustrated, the feeling is worst than frustrated .... but dunno what kind of feeling is that ....

1。假装自己很开心来掩饰。。。
2。突然间做出自己意想不到的傻事。。。把别人也给弄傻。。。
3。哭得很凄凉。。。弄到整栋大厦地震。。。
4。暴饮暴食，弄肥自己。。。
5。找人倾诉，搞到大家一起陪你哭。。。
6。去PUB，去BAR，放纵自己。。。摇到天亮。。。晕了就大觉睡。。。
7。去疯狂购物。。。不花白不花。。。索性把整个SHOPPINGMALL 搬回家。。。
8。唱歌。。。唱到家里和邻居家里的玻璃都破。。。
8。等等很多很多。。。

有些人就比较好，去打坐。。。寻找宁静。。。
可是这绝对不是我会做的事。。。缘分还没到。。。
那么我不高兴时，做什么?
自己也不是很懂。。。可是，每当我不高兴，我会吃很多巧克力。。。

Landcare Camping --- 8 - 10 September

Chronology of my trip --- An experience of life

Day 1 --- 8th September

Cameron's truck with all our backpacks, tents and sleeping bags broke down ... We decided as a group to head back to Uni after 5 hours drive .... Everyone was disappointed ... especially Anna In her diary " Today we are going camping, I will be a very very interesting trip. But, Cameron's car broke down ... I hope we DO NOT go back ... " That time, it was raining heavily .... " Are we able to plant trees ? " " What are we going to do without our bag packs and tents ? " These questions crosses almost everyones mind ... In the end, we decided to head back to UNSW ... Suddenly, a call from the owner of the land .... came .... He said, if we don't go and plant the trees .... they will die after 2 weeks ..... Our group ... Some people are happy with that, some are worried, some are sad ... The happiest is Anna ... We at that moment ... are uncertain of what will happen ... Weather was bad ... truck broke down ... Not a good sign to continue ... the journey ...

Finally after 8 hours of hunger, stress, worried ... we reached safely Lucky enough, there is no rain ... Stars that filled the night sky ... The relieve and happiness in each of us ... The satisfaction of being determine ... Blends in the warmth of the camp fire ... Those are something that is hard to find in life ...

Day 2 --- 9th September

It is still raining, it is cold .... This time the campsite is not the same as last time ... It was just outside a bread and breakfast ... The tranquility of the place ... makes the snoring voice ... seems to be louder ... But, we are still enjoying the atmosphere ... although some had trouble sleeping under noisy conditions ... The bed and breakfast is nice ... That is my dream house ...

We had our breakfast ... Hang around at campsite ... and

Start planting trees ... This time around ... 2000 trees ...

Anna planted 120 trees ... At night ... we cook dinner together and have Fuji Collective band ... Everyone's dancing ... Our gang went to the bread and breakfast ...

Day 3 --- 10 th September

The Great Capertee Valley

Time to go back ... All of us have certain feelings that bond us together ... Joining events ... to me, is not the event that matters ... Is the people ...

今天第二天学画画。。。

开始明白人体的构造真的是很奇妙。。。

今天站了 3小时。。。在画廊
原来画画，
没有想象中简单。。。
还累过去爬山。。。
我那天帮朋友搬家，
都没有觉得身体痛。。。

好像很闷，因为 2分钟要画一个 POST 。。。

今天第一天学画画，
那是我一直想要学的东西，一直觉得在外国学画画别有一番风味。。。
主要因为在马来西亚，是不可能有机会画裸体照的，
想都不用想，也不敢想。。。

原来图画，
除了技术，图画的美观与真实感之外，
最重要的，就是画家的看那个 TARGET 的角度。。。
一个物件，如果让100个学生画，
那么画出来的，
将会是100个不同的图画。。。
不同的就是个人独有观看事物的角度。。。

下个星期，
将会去。。。博物馆画画。。。
一定很爽。。。好像大画家似的，拿着画板
很 PRO 的样子

不知道会不会有机会画裸体照。。。

这是我用了$25买的用具。。。
2B，4B，6B PROGRESSO，
颜色笔。。。
蓝色用来画远的物体，
红色画近的。。。
老师说，蓝与红是很重要的。。。

这个是放图画纸的 TUBE 。。。
本来是需要买一个，$26的 PLASTIC 东西，虽然那东西看起来很 PRO，贵货就是这样，一分钱，一分货。。。
可是，
很幸运。。。
问对人。。。
教我去邮政局买人家用来寄东西的 MAILING-TUBE 。。。

One of the winning projects is the postgraduate project of Mr.Faizan Javed…..now a PhD. Student in UNSW.

I met him in a Landcare Neutralize camp in Blue Mountain organized by our school….believe it or not…the world is so small….

After I have met him, suddenly we felt that actually….we love UTP a lot…

Because…
We will be happy when we see people from UTP and treat them as our “Orang Kampung”…

We will complain a lot about UTP together, but in the end…said that it is a place with all the sweet, sour, bitter memories….

We will find that, UTP might be worse….but, we love it not because it is good…or great….is because…that is a place….where we were from… our university…

Back to topic,

If you have seen the news and the news published in the UTP website…you will be more proud of UTP and Malaysia…Since I know Faizan….and since we are so happy about his and his professor’s achievement….

We decided to post a small entry of interview with Faizan here, in my blog….

Faizan Javed says:
One of the research project s led by Prof. Dr. P.A. Venkatachalam won the Best Invention of the Pacific Rim through his project entitled “Computer Cardiologist”.

He also won 3 gold medals for 3 different categories i.e. Health/Fitness, Electrical/Electronics and Design (Technical).

Ok, as the name sounds its "Computer Cardiologist". The system has been developed to assist general physicians in rural areas in order to get expert consultation. It mainly uses heart sounds to detect and classify heart murmurs. I have three international publications in that project as well during my masters. I did my masters in a minimum duration of 1.5 years

So what are your future plans for the “computer cardiologists”?

Faizan Javed says:
My professor Prof. Dr. P.A. Venkatachalam is coming to Melbourne so I am actually going to see him to discuss further next week.

What is going to be discussed then?

Faizan Javed says:
I think regarding patent and to actually built the hardware for the product as so far the invention uses computer to diagnose in later we can come up with a device

Where did u get the inspiration to come out with such system?

Faizan Javed says:
It’s definitely my project; the idea came up after discussions with my supervisor and cardiologists in IJN. Our main collaborator was IJN. We collected patients’ data from there also we discussed our project with Fatimah hospital IPOH and Damansara Heart Center. So in total three hospitals were involved.

Is this device new invention or an innovation from the existing technology, and how efficient and important it is for the rural area?

When you interviewed the hospital, what were their main concerns about the impact of this device towards its patients and what is the most important feature in this device from a medical personnel’s perspective.

Faizan Javed says:
It’s a new creation that integrates two engineering fields. They are the signal processing and the expert system. In the rural areas there is no expert doctor available plus there is no advanced equipments so our main theme is to use basic equipment, in this case is the stethoscope and some how gather the knowledge of the expert in the computer so that the whole system will act as a cardiologist. It’s like a mobile cardiologist. Whenever you have a problem doctor first listen to your heart beat using stethoscope so we used the same technique, our system analyzes the heart beat to diagnose the heart problem.

Can you tell us how much does it costs for the equipment?

Faizan Javed says:
We have used electronic stethoscope that was around RM1200 only and the rest is the cost of the device that should not be more than 1000 RM, but definitely university has the right to decide its market costs. Overall the system does not use any expensive equipment. Another feature of this equipment is its portability.

Colourworld says:
How long did you take to complete the project and can you briefly tell us what major problems you have faced in the process?

Faizan Javed says:
It took us around 1.5 years. Definitely there are problems, its not 100 % perfect. The device is still under research phase. For medical diagnosis, the system has to be robust and reliable

So it took us a year or so to make the system is fully automated and works for all type of patients.

So far the selection of the threshold in analyzing heart sounds is done manually by trial and error method, because the recording of heart sounds has human error plus interference and noises from surroundings.

告别了日记整整3个月。。。

今天突然想起爸爸对我说的一句话。。。

他说: “山不转，路要转，路不转，人要转” 。。。

表面上，转来转去。。。真的是很晕

很多时，当人无法改变环境或者其他人的想法时。。。那么尝试改变自己看事看人的角度。。。未尝是一件坏事

走远路，迟到。。。也能令你有另一种体验。。。

有 “心” 人难寻，

听过这类似句话的人不少，能够感受到这句话的人不多，愿意重新去了解这句话话的人更少。。。

很多人都说，讲是很容易的。。。真正做就很难，就是因为这句 “讲是很容易的。。。真正做就很难” 。。。所以连给自己一个尝试的机会也嫌麻烦

突然想起以往不知道在哪里看过的一句话。。。自己觉得很有意思。。。

Brief Introduction of Sushi !!!

Sushi (寿司, sushi) is made of vinegered rice combined with various toppings especially seafood.

Sushi rolled in nori(dried seaweeds) is called maki (rolls).
Sushi made with toppings laid onto hand-formed clumps of rice is called nigiri.
Sushi made with toppings stuffed into a small pouch of fried tofu is called inari.

Sushi originates from the practice of preserving fish by fermenting it in rice for months.The science behind the original form of fermenting fish and rice is that the vinegar produced by the fermenting rice breaks down the fish into amino acids.

The sushi we made today...seems to be

Maki-zushi
- Kappamaki (cucumber filling)
- Tekkamaki (tuna filling)

This day was a very very interesting day for me.. This is a part of email content which I sent to my friend?
I really learnt alot...

1. A lecturer teaching risk analysis. He is from Europe, said alot of stupid things but very realistic. He teaches us alot of strategies in dealing wif ppl, oso he talk about last time he don't understand why business people like to play golf. But don't know since when he started to understand already. He don't talk like a lecturer, say wat bloody ball,bullshit, all sorts of words...ahhah then he ask us, do u noe why I quit working in Europe and come to Australia?ahhaha, he said cos he too tired of bribing people there with suitcase of $, in Australia , only need bring those people to eat,and maybe 'enjoy life' with them nia... -_-"

2. Went to buddhist library, found that, people there work in professional way, even students....one person can do all sorts of things in 3 or 4 departments. They kind of know what is happening in each dept. de, and they dun mind doing extra work...so 'geng' liao...

3. Went to a talk on how to be PR, haih....embarrassing ....I asked a question, then the speaker asked me back, "what are u studying"... He repeated 4 times, unfortunately I still heard 'WHERE ARE U STAYING?'....damn I answered him randwick...all the people with different nationalities in the entire hall LAUGH at me....Maybe i not used to the slang or dunno i thinkng wat...haih, "whet are u stadying = what are studying".....@_@ Its actually good also, with me the talk turned less boring :)

4. Went out wif James my cousin, he is very nice guy....brought me to eat Japanese food, here Japanese food, Korean food, Thai food, and all very nice :) There are so many people in the restaurant...the we have to queue for a seat outside the restaurant...saw 1 couple....saw the guy hug the gal..SO LOVING....Out of a sudden, another girl came by and hit the guy, she scold him in cantonese, "leave wife leave daughter"---> obviously this is a direct translation from Cantonese :).... Then the couple went away, not far.....obviously the guy was scolded by the girl, and the girl sure think the guy cheat her...I feel quite curious, because....the girl who came by to hit the guy is actually much more pretty that the girl that the guy was hugging.....

5. Then we eat, so NICE got Cream Burlee ( a type of French dessert ) its green tea flavour. The bowl containing the dessert was half cold and half hot...and the sugar on top was just cripsy...wah, damn nice man....so nice...its a dessert...eat sashimi, eat....japanese fried.....nice...

6. Then we went out to take car....manatau, when reach saw whole car in a mess man....., the car kena broken into....wah, the thief here so SMART...the car is locked ...then James said , its spiritual war fare...he is a Christian..

7. We went to Mrs. Mcquairie's Chair.......very nice place nice..overlooking sydney Opera house de....then we talk alot about religion....I learnt alot oso...

That can be considered a most interesting day since I came here....

Hargraves stayed the first night right where the rainbow points, just 400 metres from the stables..... he really did find gold at the end of the rainbow!

What can you find at the end of a RAINBOW?

Different people have different answers because different people have different dreams in life. A person who wants a loving family would wished to find a loving family at the end of a rainbow, a pair of couple who have alot of obstacles to overcome in order to be together would wish to find themselves being together with a complete family at the end of a rainbow.I want a small cottage, with big compound, with a swimming pool.....at the end of a rainbow. :) Would you find what you really want at the end of the rainbow one day, just like Hargraves who dream of gold and riches and finally he found it there... ???

Sydney Earth Hour ... what an interesting name for me....
cos according to the newspaper in Malaysia and other countries...It seems that during that particular hour which is 31st March 2007, the whole Sydney for the first time observe the Earth hour. It means, ideally, whole Sydney would be very dark during Earth Hour.

Me and Frens so interested....
so, we decided to take bus to somewhere overlooking Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge...The streets were so crowded with people busy walking here and there rushing to be at some Earth Hour concert on time...buses are full and everyone was so excited...whatever reason they are excited for...

Finally we reach somewhere in Circular Quay...
Happily sitting on a bench overlooking the sea and the Opera House...
waiting for our target to turn dark all of a sudden...
In Australia, the two most significant ' light provider' , I think should be Sydney Harbour
Bridge and Sydney Opera House ...

let me show you a picture of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge which is still bright...and another one which is partly dark...or you may say partly bright...
Just cannot understand why they leave it partly bright...

Actually the street is still very bright, we were very disappointed....
maybe the high rise building would be quite interesting to look at...because
some portion are bright and some are not...

After that, nothing much to do....we went China town at George Street..
initially heard from friends that there is a mamak stall there....
here....till now, we cant detect even 1 mamak stall...too used to mamak back in
UTP...think mamak can really be a tourist attraction...hahhaha...
I miss roti pisang and carrot susu...

The photos are those which I took along the way to Canberra and also in the study location, Geoscience Australia. A government agency that provides geo spatial information to the public as well as oil and gas companies. There is a large collections of care samples, condensate samples and also rock collections.

Alot of country side photos, where you can see of clouds, merely because I like clouds. hahahha, and as well as the scenery...
The parliment is the one with a very tall antenna...
My frens khaiyi,kiantat,stephanie and I are in the photos....

Will not forget the adventurous journey with them.....

I feel an 'asia spirit' while watching south korea team in the match.....
South Korea players showed their great determination for success .....
Their spirit is worth to be taken as a role model for the football team of other asian countires....apart of that, we shud also apply the same concept in our daily life.....

Celebration of mum's bday ...

It has been a long long time since the last visit to genting ...
Not much changes actually ...

Most people are still going there to donate $ to the developement of Genting City ... LOL
What I like most about Genting ??

1. I like cabel car...cos, it high and it makes u feel high !!....and its very inetresting where you can c ppl who are scared of sitting cabel car and ppl who are so so so afraid of height ....
They started to come out with some theory...which I've learnt throughout the cable car ride..
If u are going up...u have to sit in front..where u can slowly c the cable car moving towards your destination...and the other way round la...
Observation made shows that.....if you are very scared of something, and at the same time there is another person that is worse than u....then the feeling of scared will be reduced....

2. The weather...sunny, but cool......and the vague atmosphere... Here is it ....

3. Memories ......
When I was form 3.....that was the place where i first time saw my....prince....
Jacky Chueng....so yeng, but I din get to buy the ticket for his concert....just standing outside the arena of stars....whole nite with my fren....so cool...freezing...thats the power of 'love' LOL

4. Space shot ....
Although it cant satisfy a person with a high expectation of fear...err err...anxiety... and the rise your adrenalin level... like me...
It does give u a feeling of flying in the air....maybe like a carpet ride with aladdin...lol :P

1 interesting thing to be mentioned....
We noticed....a gang of 6 ppl...acted apparently different from others...

The scenery of genting is quite nice la......

Uncle Lim is so .... geng .... building such city in such area ... is a challenge those days ....
I was thinking to build a sky city in the air .... which will be floating .... LOL ..... and can see the map of the world from there.... so yeng !!!!

Havent reach taman negara...half death d...due to...spoilt kekwa...
what a wonderful trip...
the boat ride...3 hours..
on the way to the chalet we stay...some one cannot tahan must go toilet d...
so..the boat stopped on some island so that he can do his business...
very funny...he keep screaming...i cannot tahan liao ..cannot tahan...
all of a sudden...the whole boat was filled with laughter...even the boat driver..laugh till dunno how 2 stop the boat d ...
when we reach there...already very tired...
at night...went...night walk...
saw...porcupine...very cute...like some...balloon...with ''duries''..
saw wild boar oso...
when walk till half way...our guide..told us to off our torch lights and listen to jungle orchestra...
all dark...then, i started to feel sleepy...
that time...stand oso can sleep...
then...we saw some...spiders..tarantula...walking stick...most insects...
got luminuous fungus oso...they will glow in the dark...quite interesting...they will only live on die wood...got some...firebugs and fireflies.... all combined together..like stars in the sky...
actually night walk....quite boring...and actually i expect to see some tigers, or elephants...or some big big animals...but, the guide told us from the beginning .... we wont see these kind of animals d...

the next day...we went to the place we night walk the previous night...the guide warn us...not to take anything from the forest..and to make sure we dont do it...he told us a story...a man from england ... took a rock..from the forest...and when he return to england...he started 2 feel very sick....few months on bed...then one night his father dreamed .... some one told him 2 put the rock back to the original place... then the father kirim post laju ... 2 send the rok back... after that..the son recovered...

from that day onwards...i noe that ... bamboo is in the ''grass'' family... and they are not ''tree''...
then...we climb to some higher place to see gunung tahan that most probably will not be seen...from there... breathtaking... then we saw pokok ipoh....hehehe..that is a very poisonous tree...if u cucuk a person with it...that person will die...
after that...canopy walk la... just like walking on some hanging bridge...but, i din see any monkey...

after that...we walk across some muddy place...and then reach ear cave...
the cave...maybe looks like an ear from far...so they named it like that...
we just climb inside...and climb out from the other side... quite interesting...coz...the space is quite limited...u have to squeeze here and there...and got water..so feel very cool inside...plus some bats flying near you...their wings like fan...then u will feel not so hot inside...
one of my fren...he bring goggles ... cos he watched ''the cave'' and in the movie...ppl go inside cave which have 2 dive...haih...dunno shud laugh or wat...
after that...went to some kampung orang asli...cannot remember their troop name d..but they are nomad...each of us have 2 pay rm5...as donation...got 1 animal....it is some slow motion animal...it walks very very very very very slow...but it bites...quite cute...
then the natives demonstrate 2 us..how 2 start a fire....he very geng...then he used some leaves as sand paper...the leaves really very rough..he texture like sand paper...
suddenly....his handphone rang...we are very curious...how he charge his hp??but he refuse to tell us...
after that...we went rapid shooting....whole body water...but most water is because i play with my fren...then kena...most ppl still dry...
the activities...like that la...
travel to and fro..2 days...played 1 day...

guess what??? 2day went for choir audition.. actually the audition was over dy.. but then, james and robin hoo(d) they all make me very interested in joining.. then i went.. at first, the trainer there said.. enuf ppl liao.. ooo, nvm lor .. then, jesse they all told me 2 go talk to him again .. then, sing lor... la la la.. aiya, cant get the note.. then sing again.. la la la la la la la.. suddenly he went very high.. i was like sei zhao sei la.. hamtam only .. was sweating .. then my fren all like wah, not bad ar, u can sing quite high .. (PERASAN laio.. haha) i dunno what happened 2 me, keep bowing.. maybe too much aikido liao.. at last, i joined.. alto.. its quite hepiiii.. coz all of them james, jeff, jesse, gary, joyce, robin... ... are very funny and laugh alot.. we all very siao wan.. ah robin kena ejek by us till he dunno how 2 defend himself dy .. haha .. poor robin, i saved his life 2day.. we went 2 take the found cert together and james also there, then i think he 2 hepii 2 c the cert lo.. that place got a stairs.. and we was like walking under the stairs.. the registry and exam unit there.. he nearly knock the stairs.. luckily he din coz i pushed him aside.. haha.. robin hoo(d) memang ery blur 2day..

''A very touching story(chinese)'', interested 2 read coz of the title…started the first slide.. weird, creepy and dun really looks like a touching story lor.. someone died… din bother bout it.. continued reading then.. comp hang for a few times when reading...din bother oso continued reading…read read read trying 2 find out what’s so touching bout the story...suddenly a ghost face poped out. .got music some more...frightened..my heart was about to jump out dy.... and the ghost face remain there blinking on and off for a few minutes even though I kept pressing esc…till now the ghost face is still in my mind…got blood comes out from the nose and eyes…

Daughter is getting married soon...she is moving her things from home to her new house...3 boxes of clothes, cosmetics and 2 pillows..lastly her small tv..
Mother is standing by the door helping her daughter...when she saw her daughter's small tv... she cries...daughter is shocked...and she put down her tv...

Daughter : Mum, what happens?
Mum : I can't control myself...the tv..
Daughter : tv?..but, that tv i bought myself wan de wor...
Mum : I noe...i cry coz of the tv, not bcoz of u taking the tv with u...
Those days, when you were young...we were very poor, can't even afford a tv...after dinner, whole family will gather at the living room and chat ... After we bought a tv, as usual, we all gather at the living room as well after dinner..but each of us will concentrate on the programs showing on the tv...thats not bad tough, we still can talk during commercial breaks... After a few years, all of u grew bigger, and can afford your own small tv...after dinner, will go inside your room and watch ur favourite channels...
And now u are going to move from home dy, the clothes that mum made for u, drawings that mum gave u as bday present...all are left inside the cupboard...and yet, the small tv is never forgotten...

love is not easy 2 be forgotten, but it's easy 2 be ignored...
can v say that to ignore is to forget...??
